Flibanserin 100 mg is a prescription medication used to treat hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women. This medication works by increasing the levels of dopamine and norepinephrine while decreasing serotonin in the brain, which leads to an increase in sexual desire. Each tablet contains 100 mg of flibanserin and should be taken once daily at bedtime. It may take up to 8 weeks to see full effects, so it's important to continue taking this medication as prescribed. Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually once daily at bedtime. Take flibanserin only at bedtime to reduce your risk of low blood pressure, fainting, and drowsiness while you are awake. After taking flibanserin, do not drink any alcohol until the next day. Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while using this medication unless your doctor or pharmacist says you may do so safely. Grapefruit can increase the chance of side effects with this medicine. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
