Axentri 150mg Tablet prevents HIV from multiplying in the body. It helps control the infection and make the immune system work better. This lowers the chances of getting complications, such as new infections, and improves the quality of life. This medicine is always taken in combination with other antiretroviral medicines.

 

It is not a cure of HIV or AIDS and should not be used to prevent HIV after accidental exposure to a risk. It is important to take this medicine as prescribed by the doctor. Taking all doses in the right amount at the right times greatly increases the effectiveness of this combination of medicines and reduces the chances of HIV infection becoming resistant to antiretroviral medicines. Axentri 150mg Tablet is a chemokine receptor antagonist. It shows its action by binding to the human chemokine receptor CCR5 present on the membrane of CD4 cells (T-cells) and prevents the interaction of HIV with CCR5 required by the HIV virus to enter the human cells.
